Freelance
MorgenStreet is a boutique real estate agency based in Oberursel (Taunus) near Frankfurt am Main, with international reach. We help clients buy and sell premium residential properties and invest in real estate by combining trust, creativity, and a deep commitment to exceptional client experiences. Our customers include local homeowners and international buyers, and investors who value our professional service with a personal touch.
Our mission is to empower families and investors to turn their property dreams into reality while shaping a future of impactful and sustainable real estate practices.
We are a remote-first company — our team works from around the world, from Germany to Mauritius to Guatemala. What connects us is a shared culture of trust, ownership, and long-term thinking. We value entrepreneurial spirit, creativity backed by data, and building genuine relationships with our clients.
At MorgenStreet, you will create outstanding client experiences while building a globally connected brand. Every team member plays a vital role in shaping our culture and driving our success.
As Content Writer & Creator, you will be responsible for developing engaging, insightful, and original content that drives traffic to the MorgenStreet Journal (blog) and our social media channels. Your work will inform, inspire, and entertain our audience — covering real estate, lifestyle, and the intersection of both. By producing articles, posts, and stories that combine depth with accessibility, you will help position MorgenStreet as a trusted voice in the real estate market while strengthening our brand presence online. This is a freelance, fully remote role ideal for someone with a background in journalism, blogging, or creative writing, who understands how to write for both SEO and human engagement.
You will research, write, and publish articles for the MorgenStreet Journal on topics ranging from property trends and neighborhood spotlights to design inspiration, family living, and lifestyle stories. These articles should be well-structured, SEO-optimized, and aligned with MorgenStreet’s brand voice.
On social media, you will create posts and captions that repurpose or complement blog content, ensuring consistent storytelling across platforms. You will also identify trending topics and creative angles that keep MorgenStreet’s channels relevant and engaging.
Part of your role will include interviewing clients, partners, or industry experts to create original feature stories. You will collaborate with the Marketing Manager and Creative Lead to align content with campaigns, visuals, and growth initiatives. Over time, your work will help establish MorgenStreet as a lifestyle-driven real estate brand, not just a brokerage.
You bring 1 year of professional writing or content creation experience, ideally in journalism, blogging, or marketing. You have a portfolio of published articles, blog posts, or social media content that demonstrates both style and substance. Experience writing about real estate, lifestyle, design, or related fields is a plus.
You are skilled at researching, structuring, and writing content that is both SEO-friendly and engaging for readers. You understand the principles of online content distribution, including headline writing, keyword use, and social storytelling.
You are comfortable working independently, with the ability to generate ideas, meet deadlines, and deliver polished content without heavy oversight. A curious mindset and strong interviewing skills will help you uncover unique stories that resonate with our audience.
The Content Writer & Creator reports to the Marketing Manager (or Head of Marketing until that role is filled). Success in this role will be measured by the volume, quality, and impact of published content — not just in terms of quantity, but in the ability to attract and engage readers, drive website traffic, and support lead generation.
Performance Metrics
You should be proficient in digital writing and publishing tools. This includes content management systems (CMS like Webflow or WordPress), SEO tools, and social media platforms. Familiarity with basic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Spark) for simple graphics is a plus, though your primary focus will be on writing.
Technical Skills
You are first and foremost a storyteller. You know how to make complex topics accessible and engaging, whether you’re writing a detailed article or a short social caption. Curiosity drives you — you enjoy researching, interviewing, and finding new angles to tell a story.
You are disciplined and organized, able to manage multiple deadlines and publish consistently. As part of a remote-first team, you communicate clearly, take feedback constructively, and align your work with broader campaigns. Most importantly, you write with authenticity and integrity, ensuring that MorgenStreet’s voice builds trust with our audience.
Human Skills
The Content Writer & Creator role begins with producing articles and social media content. Over time, the position can evolve into Content Strategist, where you shape the editorial calendar, define storytelling formats, and manage additional contributors. From there, the role can grow into a leadership position within the creative or marketing track, guiding MorgenStreet’s voice and narrative direction at scale.
